Terms of use
These terms govern access to Evance, an editorial website operated from Jalan Anggrek Raya No. 15, Kemang, Jakarta Selatan 12730, Indonesia. By reading the site you agree to use it lawfully and respectfully. These terms apply to articles, images supplied by post-processing, forms, links and future editorial features.
The terms apply from the first time you open a page, including when you arrive from a search engine or a shared link. If you do not agree with them, the appropriate step is to stop using the site. They are written for adult readers and for ordinary personal use. A separate written agreement with Evance, if one is ever made, would take priority over these terms for the matters it covers.
1. Editorial purpose
Evance publishes general information about sports physiology, functional fitness and longevity. Content is designed for education and conversation, not diagnosis, treatment, prescription or individualized coaching. A reader remains responsible for seeking qualified medical advice where appropriate.
For example, an article on training load describes how coaches commonly think about progression, but it cannot account for a reader's heart condition, joint history or medication. A reader with such a background should discuss any change with a licensed physician or a qualified sports professional first. Articles are not a substitute for an assessment in person, and a reader who follows a general example does so on their own judgement.
- (a) Education: explaining concepts, terms and the state of research.
- (b) Conversation: inviting questions that readers can take to professionals.
- (c) Outside scope: diagnosis, treatment plans, prescriptions and personal coaching.
2. No emergency service
Do not use this website or its contact form for emergencies, acute symptoms or urgent medical decisions. Contact local emergency services or a qualified clinician. The phone number +62 817 9345 1820 is an editorial contact and is not a clinical hotline.
In Indonesia, a reader who needs urgent help can contact the national emergency number 112 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Messages sent through the form are read during business hours and may not be seen for several days. Staff will not give an opinion about symptoms by email or telephone, even if asked politely. If a message appears to describe an emergency, we may reply once with a reminder to contact emergency services, but we cannot monitor the inbox for urgent situations.
3. Accuracy and change
Editors work to present clear and current information as of 2026. Research evolves, local conditions differ and an article may become incomplete. Evance may correct, update or remove content without guaranteeing that every page changes at the same moment.
Each article shows the date it was last reviewed, and a substantial change is described in a short dated note. If you rely on a page for something important, check the date and compare it with the original sources named in the text. Search engines and archives may keep older copies that no longer reflect our latest wording. Where a reader reports an error, we aim to review it within 10 business days.
4. Intellectual property
Evance text, design and branding belong to Evance or its licensors unless another owner is credited. You may read and share a link for personal, non-commercial discussion. Reproducing a substantial article, scraping the site or presenting Evance material as your own requires written permission.
Brief quotation for criticism, teaching or discussion is acceptable when the source is named and a link to the original page is included. A teacher may print a page for a class, and a coach may mention an article to a client. Republishing in a newsletter, collecting pages into a database or using text to train automated systems goes beyond personal use and requires approval. Requests for permission can be sent to the postal address or telephone number at the end of these terms, and we aim to reply within 15 business days.
5. User messages
You retain rights in original material you send, while allowing Evance to review and respond to it. Do not send confidential, unlawful, defamatory or third-party personal information. We may remove or decline messages that create risk or do not relate to the editorial purpose.
The permission you give is limited: it lets staff read your message, store it for the period in the privacy policy and reply. It does not allow Evance to publish your message or your name without a separate, specific agreement. If we would like to quote a reader's question in an article, we ask first and normally remove identifying details. Messages that contain threats, harassment or commercial solicitation unrelated to the publication may be deleted without a reply.
6. External links
Links may lead to independent organisations, research publishers or services. They are provided for context, not endorsement. Evance does not control their availability, content, privacy practices or commercial terms, and you should review the destination’s own policies.
A link to a journal, a professional body or a government health page is chosen because it helps a reader check a point. Links can break, move behind a paywall or change their meaning over time. If you find one that no longer works, tell us the page and the address and we will replace it or remove the reference. We do not accept payment to add a link in editorial text, and any link that is part of a paid arrangement is labelled.
7. Advertising and partnerships
Any sponsored or advertising relationship will be identified in a visible way. Commercial support does not purchase editorial conclusions. Our advertising policy explains separation, disclosure and the right to decline promotions that conflict with reader trust.
The labels used are Advertisement, Sponsored or Partner content, and they appear next to the item, not only in a footer. An advertiser cannot request a change to an independent article after publication. If a commercial relationship is relevant to a page, for instance because a writer received equipment to test, that is stated in the text. The advertising policy lists the categories we decline and how to report a message that seems misleading.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the website available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, hosting incidents, network failures or events outside reasonable control may affect delivery. We may change the structure or discontinue a feature after considering reader impact.
Planned maintenance is normally carried out outside Jakarta peak reading hours, and a short notice may be placed on the page when downtime is expected to last more than an hour. If a feature such as the contact form is withdrawn, the telephone and postal contact details on the site remain the alternative route. Content that is removed because it is outdated may be replaced by a short note explaining where related information now sits.
9. Prohibited use
Do not probe, overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the website. Do not harvest contact details, upload malware, impersonate Evance or use content to make unsafe automated decisions. Suspected abuse may be documented and reported to appropriate authorities.
Examples of conduct that is not allowed include sending a high volume of automated requests, trying to access areas not intended for the public, submitting forms with scripts to collect addresses, and copying pages to create a misleading imitation of the site. Ordinary activities such as using a screen reader, a reader mode, a translation tool or a browser extension for readability are fine. If we see activity that harms the service, we may block the source address temporarily and keep a record under the retention period in the privacy policy.
- (a) Technical interference: probing, overloading, malware or reverse engineering.
- (b) Misuse of data: harvesting contact details or presenting third-party information as yours.
- (c) Impersonation: claiming to speak for Evance or its staff.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by Indonesian law, Evance is not responsible for loss arising from reliance on general editorial information, third-party links or temporary unavailability. Nothing here excludes a liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits a consumer protection right.
The wording refers to Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection and Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions, as amended, which continue to apply regardless of these terms. Because the site is free to read and does not sell goods, most claims would involve indirect loss, and the limit above is aimed at that kind of loss. It does not limit responsibility for deliberate misconduct or for matters the law says cannot be limited. If you believe you have suffered loss connected to the site, please write to us with the details so that we can look into it.
11. Governing approach
These terms are intended to be read consistently with applicable Indonesian law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. We prefer informal resolution through the contact address before any formal procedure.
A written complaint is acknowledged within five business days, and we aim to give a reasoned reply within 30 days. If the matter cannot be resolved by discussion, the parties may seek mediation, and the courts of South Jakarta are the natural venue for any formal dispute, subject to the mandatory rights of consumers to use other competent forums. The English-language version of these terms is the one published here; a translation, if provided, is only for convenience.
12. Changes and contact
These terms were issued 1 January 2026 and reviewed 1 October 2026. The page will show a new date when material wording changes. Questions may be sent to Jalan Anggrek Raya No. 15, Kemang, Jakarta Selatan 12730, Indonesia or +62 817 9345 1820.
Minor corrections, such as typographical fixes, update only the review date. Material changes, such as a new feature or a change in how messages are handled, are shown here with a new date at least 14 days before they apply. Continued use after that point means you accept the updated terms.
- 1 January 2026: first version published.
- 1 October 2026: annual review completed; wording on emergencies, links and liability clarified.
Further notes on using Evance
Use of articles and images
Articles may be quoted briefly for personal, educational or journalistic purposes, provided that the source is named as Evance and a link to the original page is included. Reproducing whole articles, tables or photographs on another site, in a printed handout or inside a paid product needs written permission. Requests can be sent to [email protected] and are normally answered within ten business days. Photographs on the site are illustrative and remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.
Links to other websites
Pages may link to research papers, public health guidance and other external sources. Evance does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is a reference for the reader, not an endorsement of the organisation behind it. If a link no longer works or leads somewhere unsuitable, please tell the editorial desk through the contact page.
Messages sent through the site
When you use the contact form you agree to send accurate information and to avoid unlawful, abusive or misleading content. Please do not include health records, identity numbers or financial details in a message. Messages are handled according to the privacy policy, and Evance may decline to reply to messages that are repetitive or abusive.
Availability and changes
The site is maintained with reasonable care, but access may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. Evance may update, move or remove pages, and it may revise these terms. Material changes are announced on this page at least 14 days before they apply, and the review date is updated each time.
Governing law and questions
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, including Law No. 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions as amended. Disputes are first discussed in good faith; if they cannot be resolved, the courts of South Jakarta have jurisdiction. Questions about these terms can be sent to Evance, Jalan Anggrek Raya No. 15, Kemang, Jakarta Selatan 12730, Indonesia, by telephone on +62 817 9345 1820, or by email to [email protected].
