Movement quality

Mobility is strength in a wider conversation.

Range of motion matters when it is available, controlled and relevant to the task. Mobility work is not a punishment for sitting.

Three questions for movement

Can you access it?

Notice the available range without forcing an uncomfortable endpoint or chasing a visual shape.

Can you control it?

Slow, steady movement often reveals more useful information than a passive stretch held in isolation.

Can you use it?

Connect mobility to the squat, run, reach or lift that gives it meaning.

A small practice

  • Choose one region and one familiar movement.
  • Use a comfortable range for five slow repetitions.
  • Compare how the task feels, without assuming a single drill caused the change.
